Premiere of documentary „40” in Međugorje

The premiere of documentary "40” was held in Medjugorje on Thursday, October 22 at 8 p.m. when more than 300 pro-life supporters gathered, including some of the Medjugorje pilgrims from English speaking countries. This documentary was made as the reflection to 40 years of abortions being legal in the United States of America, after the law was passed in 1973. The documentary shows the reality from two different perspectives: the one that is pro-lief and the one that is pro-choice. Documentary speaks openly about the constant media pressure and various obstacles always pointed on hiding the real truth about what life is and how life should be defended.

Even though this documentary depicts the American reality, it is worth seeing as many of those problems exist in our society too, where abortions are legal since 1977. Those who gathered in Medjugorje were all moved by it, especially the youth, as many of them were never aware of the real statistics related to this issue. Certainly, the documentary is very motivating for all of the participants of pro-life initiative 40 days for life, as it shows the insight into this battle that is very demanding, but encouraging at the same time, if we consider this little improvement and change made worldwide in the sense of informing the public and local communities, as well as changing laws and regulations that are against life. The documentary "40” will be shown in Mostar on Tuesday, October 27, in the church of St. Peter and Paul, at 6.30 p.m.
